Our Mission
The goal of Griffin's Friends is simple and appealing:
To bring moments of joy to courageous kids.
This message conveys our aspiration for all of our efforts, whether event planning, fundraising, or marathon running. We strive to ease the hardships of children in treatment for cancer and the families who love and support them.
Color for the Kids Was a HUGE Success!
The first Color for the Kids Run was held in September. The event brought together more than 200 participants at Agawam High School. Runners and walkers were sprayed with color powder along a course on the campus. It was a blast!
The ever-loyal Magic Al appeared. A dunk tank was a hit! All kinds of other activities complemented the run.
Thanks to Amy Ryan who came up with the idea and lead the effort.
Thanks also to Jim Blain, Agawam HS principal and veteran TGF marathoner, who organized the Brownie community for this terrific family outing.
