Marathon Challenge Update:

April 15, 2013 was an incredible day. For Team Griffin's Friends, it began with exhilaration when we gathered on Hopkinton green, inspired by Danny K., ready to take on the famed Boston Marathon course. The day ended with unimaginable tragedy at the fabled finish, witnessed by some of our own teammates. Even with such awful memories of the end of the race, every runner should recall their achievements, through training, fundraising, supporting families and taking the marathon challenge.

You have all worked very hard over many months to bring moments of joy to courageous kids.  We are very glad that all of Griffins Friends runners, Team captains and families are safely home. Our thoughts and prayers are with the horribly injured innocent people and families who were on Boylston Street to watch their loved ones finish the marathon. Our memories of the 19th Griffin's Friends Marathon Challenge will always include these victims.
